قرر المستشار النائب العام ندب أحد رؤساء النيابة العامة للتحقيق فى البلاغ الذي تقدمت به جبهة الدفاع عن متظاهري مصر وعدد من الشخصيات السياسية والحقوقية والعامة اليوم والذي حمل رقم 1240 لسنة 2011 عرائض النائب العام بتاريخ 26 يناير 2011، وقد استمعت النيابة العامة لأحد محامو الجبهة والذي حضر معه مقرر لجنة الحريات بنقابة المحامين.
وقد أكد محامي الجبهة فى أقواله أمام النيابة العامة ضرورة التحقيق فى وقائع الإعتداءات على المتظاهرين فى القاهرة وفى المحافظات الأخري بشكل منفصل ومستقل عن التحقيقات التى تجريها النيابة العامة بخصوص المظاهرات، وأن تقوم بالتحقيق مع المشكو فى حقهم من مسئولي وزارة الداخلية ووزير الصحة والجهاز القومي للاتصالا ت وشركات المحمول الثلاث، كما طلب محامي الجبهة بانتقال النيابة العامة لأماكن احتجاز المقبوض عليهم فى معسكرات الأمن المركز والاستفسار عن سبب احتجازهم.
كما طلب محامي الجبهة فى أقواله بإبلاغ الجبهة رسمياً بالتحقيقات التى سوف تجريها النيابة العامة مع المقبوض عليهم فى مظاهرة أمس 25 يناير وأن الجبهة على استعداد لتوفير محامي لكل متهم امام النيابات العامة سواء فى القاهرة أو فى المحافظات، وقد تضمن بلاغ الجبهة حصر باسماء المقبوض عليهم والمتحجزين وكذلك المصابين والمتوفين فى هذه الأحداث.

As a response to the complaint “ 1240 for 2011” that has been progressed today the 26th of Jan through the Front to defend Egypt protestors and a great number of public and political figures , The public prosecuter has decided to assign one of the “ public prosecuter office's “ heads to launch the investigation which started by listenting to one of the Front's lawyers in the presence of the head of lawyers syndicates' committee for freedoms .
The front's lawyer insisted during the listening session on the nessecity of separating the investigation process concerning the events of attacking the protestors in Cairo and other governorates from the other investigations that are being run by the public prosecuter office concerning the demonstation themselves .
The front's lawyer also called for questioning the other seniors and parties that have been complained against : the minister of the interior , minister of health , the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and the three mobile phone companies besides also asking the public prosecuter office to start heading towards the security forces 's camps where many people are being detained to recognize
the reasons for why they are being detained.
