The operation room of the front to Defend Egyptian Protesters monitored in the third day of the incidents of dispersal of the cabinet sit-in the following : increase in the number of the victims in the confrontations between the security troops and the protesters, whether they are arrested, injured or disappeared. In addition to that, there is increase in the number of martyrs.
FDEP depends on the information collected by its lawyers, the victims testimonies and the calls received by FDEP, and the observations are as follow:
The legal procedures:
The arrested are still transferred to the general attorney, that big number is transferred( more than 203 arrested person) and this number is doubles the arrested persons in the past two days, and South Cairo interrogated them and accused them by the following crimes :
- attacking public employees in their duty.
- Intentional damage of governmental facilities and buildings
- Burning assets and money owned by the government
And they are the same crimes directed to the arrested persons in the past two days, and they were detained 4 days for investigations, only a person was released.
The arbitrary detention and the random arrest :
the security troops continued the random arrest and the arbitrary detention in the streets around the cabinet building and Tahrir square. The FDEP received information saying that there are illegal detention places like the camp 28 in Naser City. A large number was transferred to the defense attorney and they are still interrogated till the early hours of Monday 19th of December 2011.
the defense attorney position :
the defense attorney took a negative position from the suspects and arrested persons, that it was reluctant in moving to search the illegal detention places used by the army according to its mandate, although the lawyers of FDEP submitted a report about that issue. However it did not move and it attached the report to the investigations files.
In addition to that FDEP observed that the defense attorney was again reluctant to offer the medical care to the suspects or to present them to physicians to identify their status and whether they can be interrogated or not. And that lead to the death of Mohamed Mohey Hussein in the detention of South Cairo court.
FDEP submitted three requests to Attorney General, General Prosecutor of South Cairo defense attorney and the interior minister to stop the investigations until finishing the medical examination on the arrested persons and identifying their status, especially that large numbers is severely injured. The Attorney general accepted in the end and allowed number of doctors to examine the arrested persons, after threats of the lawyers to leave the investigations.

They were offered first aid in the field hospital, others went to number of hospitals like Qaser el Aini ( new and old), el Monira hospital, elHelal hospital , elOyoun international hospital and Ibn Sina hospital.
The injured persons suffered from difficulties in getting their medical reports, and usually they needed a lawyer to finish the procedures and forcing the administrations of hospitals to issue the medical reports, similar to the status of their injuries. And FDEP observed that elHelal hospital in Ramsis district refused assisting some injured persons, and that was mentioned in a testimony of an injured person who was not allowed to enter the hospital.
